Our Practice

The Law Society of Azerbaijan (LSA) is committed to advancing the rule of law, promoting good governance, and fostering meaningful public engagement across Azerbaijan. LSA serves as an independent think tank that works to protect human rights, support legal reforms, and strengthen civic education, despite the restrictive legal environment that prevents its formal registration.

LSA’s mission is to:

· Promote justice, accountability, and legal empowerment by fostering a legal culture rooted in fairness, equality, and the rule of law; 

· Support the legal profession and human rights defenders through professional development, advocacy, and partnerships; 

· Advance civic and human rights education and foster youth participation to build a more informed and engaged society; 

· Conduct research and international advocacy to inform and shape legal reforms in accordance with global human rights standards; 

· Facilitate access to justice, especially for marginalized and vulnerable populations, through collaboration with legal aid providers and civil society actors. 

Through these efforts, LSA seeks to contribute to the development of a democratic, rights-respecting, and inclusive legal system in Azerbaijan.
